Tarek Wagdy
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Tarek graduated with a degree in Pharmacy Sciences and in 1995, launched Egyptian Pharmex Trading Company, which was responsible for the trading and distribution of pharmaceutical products in Egypt and the Middle East. The company quickly expanded and became an important player in the agency market and acquired strong knowledge in the blood derivatives pharmaceutical products.
In 2007, Tarek co-founded InterPharmex, as a UAE Free Zone Company with a warehouse in the Dubai International Airport Free Zone. This location served as a hub for the rest of the Middle East and African markets. Through this facility, the company acquired a lot of experience as a 3rd party logistics company and built its mastery in the Cold Chain Logistics business processes.
After the success of running InterPharmex as a 3rd party logistics company for cold chain products, Tarek and his partners decided to invest in the 3PL market in Egypt with 100% focus on pharmaceutical customers. They established “EPx Logistics” as a business unit under Egyptian Pharmex and started the first dedicated pharmaceutical 3PL company in Egypt with their first warehouse in Obour Industrial Zone, near Cairo. This operation became fully operational by April 2011 and successfully passed all QA, HSE and other audits for all the principals that audited it. By end 2011, several key industry players were utilizing EPx Logistics’ services, including Pfizer, GSK and Sandoz. Since its establishment in 2011, the company continued to build its expertise in Quality Assurance, HSE, Validation, IT and SOPs and also launched new value added services such as overprinting, transportation and clinical trial logistics services.

Worked for 25 years in Supply Chain & Logistics for several multinational companies (which from 14 years as Logistics Manager for DHL Global Forwarding) covering multiple sectors (communication, automotive, FMCG, lubricants, cosmetics, projects……) with a wide operational and commercial background specially in warehouse designs, sales and exceptional leadership skills.
Mohamed Megahed
General Manager for FMCG Business
Mohamed has over 18 years of experience in the field of logistics, warehousing, distribution and value add services. Having worked for some of the leading companies in the region (including P&G, UTI, Alfa), Mohamed has built very strong mastery in team leadership, organization transformation, supply chain design, supply chain operations, information systems and business development.
Shady S. Soliman
Customer Service & Commercial Head
Shady Soliman graduated with a degree in Pharmacy Sciences in 1998. Shady brings more than 17 years of experience working in multinational logistics companies in the US and Egypt in various capacities including Warehouse Management, Customer Service, Business Development and Clinical Trials Management. Shady is currently the Customer Service and Commercial Head responsible for handling new opportunities as well as managing existing clients.
Neal Afifi
Digital Transformation Leader
Neal Afifi is leading the digital transformation efforts at EPX. Neal comes with over 20 years experience in Information Technology, Digital Transformation and Technology Consulting for some of the world’s largest companies.
Neal’s role is to build and overlook the digital strategy for the company to ensure that EPX is leveraging technology and analytics to achieve process excellence, productivity, accuracy and better decision making in order to be able to meet and exceed customer objectives. In this role, he integrates all the efforts of the business functions with IT and vendors to deliver against the digital vision of the company.
Mohammad Fahim
IT Manager
Mohammad Fahim is the head of Information Technology Department at EPX with more than 15 years in the IT field. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering degree from Ain Shams University and multiple technical certificates.
Mohammad joined, designed, implemented and managed multiple projects in Egypt, Syria and Gulf area. He has been in management positions since 2006 when he had been appointed as Network team leader at a multinational IT services company and later as network and hardware section head at an Egyptian IT services company in 2008.
Being the professional services director at an IT service firm starting 2011, he gained valuable experience and has been exposed to designing and managing different solutions for customers with variable business and technological needs.
